Pakistan will return to Bangladesh for a Test and T20 series later this year for the first time since 2015. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, Pakistan will play two Test matches and three T20 internationals in Dhaka and Chattogram in November and December.
The Pakistani team will tour Bangladesh immediately following the World T20 Cup in the United Arab Emirates on November 14.
According to the PCB, the tour is part of the Future Tours Programme and will begin on November 19 with a T20I series at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The second and third Twenty20 Internationals will be held on November 20 and 22.
From November 26 to 30, the two teams will travel to Chattogram for the first of two Tests at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
For the first time since May 2015, when Pakistan won the two-match series by a whopping 328 runs in the decisive Test, the two teams will meet in the pinnacle form of the game on Bangladeshi land.
The two sides will meet again in Dhaka for the final Test on December 4.
The tests will be counted towards the ICC World Test Championship standings.
After Bangladesh twice dropped out of tours to Pakistan citing security concerns, cricket relations between the two boards have recently stabilized after years of tension and struggle.
