The 2nd Test played between New Zealand and Pakistan will be held at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The match will be kicked off on 3rd January (Sunday) at 04:00 (GMT+6).
With the 2nd Test of the series, Pakistan will be concluding their New Zealand tour. Pakistan is looking to finish the tour on a high. But before that, they have a lot to tackle for team combinations. Babar Azam, their actual skipper, will also miss the 2nd Test, as he has yet to recover from a thumb injury. Mostly Pakistan will proceed with the same team combination.
On the other side, New Zealand will be missing Neil Wagner’s services. Yet, with the likes of Tim Southee, Kylie Jamieson and Trent Boult, their bowling unit is still as threatening as before. They are now leading the Test series at present and will aim to seal the deal with another win.
On each of the 5 days, there is a little chance of rainfall, but that shouldn’t hinder the progress of the cricketing action. The temperature on all days will stay around 18-23 degrees Celsius.
As the batting is much easier in the 2nd innings, the side winning the toss will look to bowl first. The bowlers will initially be licking their lips as the track will have a lot of grass covering to support the bowlers.
