Kolkata Knight Riders picked up a huge nine-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second match of the second leg of the IPL 2021 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, RCB got bowled out for 92 in 19 overs by KKR.
Devdutt Padikkal made the highest score of 22 runs for RCB. Varun Chakravarthy and Andre Russell took the maximum number of 3 wickets each for KKR. Besides, Lockie Ferguson took 2 wickets and Prasidh Krishna took 1 wicket.
Chasing an easy target of 93 runs, KKR lost just one wicket and reached the port of victory in 10 overs. In 6 fours and 1 six, Shubman Gill scored the maximum of 47 runs for the team. Besides, Venkatesh Iyer played a stormy inning of 41 off 27 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket for RCB.
After winning this match, KKR has risen to the fifth position in the points table. On the other hand, RCB is in the third position of the points table after losing.
