Faf du Plessis (10 credits)
Faf du Plessis, one of the IPL ‘s top run-scorers, appeared ominous in touch. In 7 matches, he has scored 307 runs with three half-centuries. He looked calm and composed at the crease and contributed some glorious strokes.
He has good memories of playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad, taking Chennai Super Kings single-handedly to a victory against them in 2018 in Qualifier 1. In the last few matches, he has missed out, but in this match, he would definitely aim to make up for that.
David Warner (10.5 credits)
In this year’s IPL, David Warner was clearly not at his very best. But despite that, in almost every single match, he was able to milk runs. In seven matches, he has managed to score 275 runs, and despite not getting those big scores, he has scored a few 40s and 50s.
This is the time for him to launch himself. Chennai Super Kings has spinners who bring the ball to the left-hander and that will be relished by David Warner. In this year’s IPL, Chennai Super Kings’s bowling hasn’t been the most impressive, and David Warner will finally aim to play a match-winning inning.
Rashid Khan (9.5 credits)
This season, the spin king from Afghanistan was exceptionally good. In seven matches, he picked up 10 wickets and also bowled with an economy of just 5.03. More often than not, he bowled with purpose and choked the batsmen.
It will make Rashid Khan even more lethal, with Chennai Super Kings not having a single left-hander in their top five. That should be an additional incentive to pick Rashid Khan if Sunrisers Hyderabad bowl second, as he bowls extremely well when defending a score.
