Virat Kohli (10.5 credits)
No doubt that one of the best players in this century, the inclusion of Virat Kohli needs no excuse. In the history of the league, the leading run-scorer now holds the record for having the most runs as a captain. While this time, Kohli made a slow start to the tournament, he bounced back well and has since not looked back. Mind you, most of the seasons are considered an average season for him, and yet Kohli is among the top 10 scorers, sitting in 8th place in the Orange Cap contenders’ race with 60.83 at 365 runs and a few half-centuries this season.
AB de Villiers (10 credits)
ABD is another outstanding player in every style, almost an automatic pick inside the squad. So, be it the actual team or the fantasy team! He is a force in himself with his magical abilities with the bat, fast running between the wickets, gun fielding, and brilliant glove-work. ABD has lit up yet another version of the IPL with 285 runs in 9 innings at an average of 57.00. More specifically, he struck a superb 190.
Sam Curran (9.5 credits)
This year, not many players have stood up for the Chennai Super Kings. But if there were one, it would have been Sam Curran. It was Curran’s knock and a record ninth-wicket partnership alongside Imran Tahir in the last game, where CSK lost 10 wickets against MI, that led his team to an under par, albeit a decent total of 114 for 9 after CSK was looking all set to post an embarrassing total. Curran had 173 runs in 10 innings and also bagged 10 wickets.
