K.L Rahul (10.5 credits)
Kings XI Punjab’s talented skipper, K.L Rahul has had an excellent start to the IPL this season. He already has a massive 100 in 4 innings alongside a fitty, aggregating 239 runs, and is currently the holder of the Orange Cap.
He will look to make up against Chennai Super Kings after losing in the last match against Mumbai Indians. The numbers are also with K.L Rahul. In four innings in Dubai, he has 199 runs. He’ll back himself up to score a big score against the bowling line-up of Chennai Super Kings that didn’t look too threatening.
Faf du Plessis (9.5 credits)
Faf du Plessis had been the only positive for Chennai Super Kings’s abysmal batting until now. Faf du Plessis looked determined throughout, with 195 runs from four matches and two 50s, to bat long and give the lineup some stability.
It will give Faf du Plessis a chance to be more aggressive up front by opening the innings. Faf du Plessis is a player who has always stood up and taken the responsibility and we should expect him to do so again in times of crisis.
Mohammed Shami (9 credits)
In this season’s IPL, Mohammed Shami was bowled with a lot of heart and intent. While prior to this season, he did not have a praiseworthy T20 or IPL record, this year his pace and accuracy got him 8 wickets from 4 matches.
The Bengal fast bowler will try to keep his hot form going, especially against a under-fire top order of Chennai Super Kings that has struggled to go against the quality pace.
