MS Dhoni (9.5 credits)
MS Dhoni has had an IPL that is really indifferent. In 7 matches, he managed a mere 112 runs. He didn’t hit the ball like he did in the last couple of seasons. He has a horrible record against the strike bowler of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rashid Khan having scored only 23 runs in 32 balls against him. He was not in any kind of rhythm and it would be wise to leave MS Dhoni out with Sunrisers Hyderabad having the bowling to stifle him.
Ravindra Jadeja (9 credits)
Ravindra Jadeja has been one of the greatest disappointments for Chennai Super Kings this year. While he managed to get 101 runs with the bat, most of them came after the match slipped out of Chennai Super kings’s control. The southpaw was even more disappointing with the ball MS Dhoni didn’t show much confidence in him either, and he only picked up 3 wickets.
He lacked penetration, and MS Dhoni could be even more reluctant to use him with someone like David Warner in the opposition team. It would be better to leave him out of your team, with not much value being seen in Ravindra Jadeja for this match.
Vijay Shankar (8 credits)
An all-rounder with a credit requirement of just 8 can seem a very appealing choice. But it is necessary for that player to be able to provide some value too, and one should not take the player just for the sake of it. After a prolonged break, Shankar has returned and is likely to be rusty.
His bowling, on top of that, is not intimidating at all, and could be fodder for the hard-hitting opening pair of Chennai Super Kings . He did not get an opportunity to bat in the last match, despite Sunrisers Hyderabad losing 4 wickets. It is unlikely for him to get much of a chance with the bat even in the next match. So, due to these facts, it would be better to exclude Vijay Shankar from your Dream11 team.
