Sunil Narine (10 credits)
Sunil Narine, a very important member of Kolkata Knight Riders, has yet to fire in the tournament. He scored just 9 runs in two matches and was dismissed by the pacers. It seems like the experiment of putting Sunil Narine at the top as a pinch hitter has fizzled out and Kolkata Knight Riders may want to change its strategy in that respect. As a bowler, Narine has not had much success either, picking up just one wicket thus far. The mystery about him that used to make him so lethal seems to have been lost. You should avoid going for him in this game, with Narine also needing a high number of credits.
Kuldeep Yadav (8.5 credits)
Kuldeep Yadav was a player who had a prolonged dry run in the T20s. It seems as if everyone has figured out how to play him after starting with a bang. He has not picked up a single wicket in the two matches he has played. He was able to pick up just 4 wickets in 9 matches even in the past season. Even the captain seemed to have lost confidence in him, and it was clear that in the last match, he only got 2 overs to bowl. Kuldeep Yadav might find himself sidelined once again with Kolkata Knight Riders’s line up having a plethora of bowling choices.
Rahul Tewatia (8.5 credits)
In the last match against Kings XI Punjab, Rahul Tewatia played an innings of a lifetime as he went from 17 out of 23 balls to scoring 36 in the next 8 balls, which included five sixes in Sheldon Cottrell’s over. His innings in the last match may have inspired many people to choose him in this match. But it is important to remember that the last match was played on a much shorter pitch and it was one of the freakish innings that makes cricket so unforeseeable.
But Rajasthan Royals is sure to adapt a different approach on a larger ground and Rahul Tewatia may not come up to bat. His legspin is also not too persuasive and it would be best not to be swayed by emotions. You can leave him out of your team.
