Quinton de Kock (9.5 credits)
One of the greatest disappointments for MI has been Quinton de Kock. While much was expected of him, he only managed 48 runs in four innings. Though Sharjah may be a propitious ground for batsmen, De Kock looks very short on confidence. It would be advisable not to risk taking the Protea with several other high groups, in the form of batsmen in this game.
Krunal Pandya (8.5 credits)
Until the last game, where he put in a decent performance against KXIP, Krunal Pandya had an awful IPL 2020. He ended up picking up one wicket for 27 runs. Before that game, he had only 1 wicket in 3 games and was hardly threatening.
Rohit Sharma is unlikely to trust Krunal Pandya much in this game with someone like David Warner in the opposition and short boundaries. Besides that, he might not end up having any batting; it’s best not to select Krunal.
Khaleel Ahmed (8 credits)
Khaleel Ahmed could be expected to lead the bowling attack if Bhuvneshwar Kumar misses out. He didn’t have the best of starts to the season. In 3 games, he chose 2 wickets, but he was very expensive, going at 9.69 runs per over.
Considering its low credit requirement, he could be the right choice for your squad. But Khaleel has a record of being expensive, and he could be fodder for Mumbai’s power hitters in Sharjah with his speed and one-dimensional bowling.
