Bhuvneshwar Kumar (9 credits)
Bhuvneshwar had not picked up a single wicket in two games previous to the last match against Delhi Capitals. His pace has been slightly down and hasn’t looked threatening enough, though he has bowled with a strong economy.
Bhuvneshwar may be even more ineffective against an accomplished CSK line up that can play well at a medium pace. You can also keep Kumar out of your team from a strict fantasy cricket viewpoint.
Ravindra Jadeja (9 credits)
The biggest disappointment this year for CSK was the performance by Ravindra Jadeja. He only picked up two wickets in three games, but the biggest concern was his economy, which stands at 10.5 after three rounds. In all three games, he has conceded more than 40 in his four overs quota.
With the bat, he didn’t do anything either. MS Dhoni would be even more reluctant to hand the ball over to Jadeja with someone like David Warner in the opposition. Keeping in mind all these variables, you can remove him from your squad.
Murali Vijay (8.5 credits)
Murali Vijay is a player who had a golden chance to prove his worth to the franchise but wasted it. The talented batsman, who had been one of CSK’s most impactful players a decade ago, looked severely out of contact.
Vijay managed only 32 runs in three matches at a miserable strike rate of 75, despite opening the innings and batting in the powerplay. He may not play with Ambati Rayudu being fit anyway, but even if he does, not much should be expected from Vijay.
