Shane Watson (9.5 credits)
In this season’s IPL, the iconic former Australian all rounder has not yet looked up to the mark. In the match played with Mumbai Indians, he was dismissed for just 4, and even though he got off to a great start against Rajasthan Royals, and scored 33 out of 21 balls, he still doesn’t look entirely settled. He hasn’t been bowling and with the number of batting superstars on show for this match, his credit requirement of 9.5 is a little too much. It would be better to leave out Shane Watson for more cricketers who are in good form and multi dimensional.
Prithvi Shaw (8.5 credits)
In the first match against Kings XI Punjab, the young Mumbai batsman seemed to be out of sorts against the quality pace. Prithvi Shaw is known to be an aggressive cricketer who likes to dominate in the first six overs, but his aggressive batting has not been as conducive to the pitch in Dubai. Instead, it helped the seamers considerably. In the first game to play the ball through merit, Prithvi Shaw did not seem to have the patience and there is a high chance that he may struggle against the likes of Deepak Chahar.
Lungi Ngidi (8.5 credits)
In the last game, Lungi Ngidi was taken to the cleaners by Jofra Archer as he smoked four sixes off him in the last over of their innings, scoring a total of 30 runs. He finished with figures of none for 56. And, he seemed totally clueless as to where to bowl to Archer. Even in the first match against Mumbai Indians, even though he picked up three wickets, he was really expensive early on. His position in the team is not defined as whether he is primarily a powerplay or death bowler and his style of bowling does not appear to be suited for the pitches of the UAE. Maybe he’ll also sit out this match. So, it is better not to select him in your Dream11 team.
